NOTHING LIKE THE ....

Nothing like the great swath of the giant colors in an Arizona sunset.

Bold, brilliant red, orange, and black wide strokes across the sky.

Makes you think on God so easily.

This will do it.

The way dust and clouds come together in sunset masterpiece.

I never tire of it.

Seeing the canvas filled on a summer night and knowing to look up.

If all would just look up.

  A "score" is twenty years. Recall President Lincoln's Gettysburg address where he began "four score and seven years ago...."  That equates to 87 years ago. Biblical lifespan was described as "three score and ten." Thanks to modern medicine and life style the new normal for many is becoming four score and ten or 90 years plus. What are we going to do with those extra years? Here is a chance later in life to really make a difference in helping others and doing the things that maybe have been put off for years. The jokers turning wild And the aces picked up Tossed by the wind.   Slowly twisting downward From a branch The desert player Grasping for a final round.

  So many are saying that what is happening in this country is "the new normal!" I totally disagree. Since when is showing kindness and helping others not the right thing to do? Since when is social distancing the preferred way of living as human beings. Yes, we are experiencing a crisis. But what is happening today is no how, no way, the new normal.
